SUPPLY LISTS

Throughout the school year we will be focusing on a singular art medium each month. This is to make shopping easier. Below you will find the different artistic mediums we will use this year.

I am a firm believer in a bargain, as a mom-of-many. My philosophy on art supplies is this: buy inexpensive supplies first. See if your child actually enjoys them. If they do, then you can invest in a higher quality supply later.  For my "first time supply tries", I buy my supplies at the Dollar Tree, Walmart, Amazon, or a local art supply store WITH a coupon. (If you get their apps, you will always have a coupon on hand!)

Unusual supplies will be highlighted in aqua.  You can click on those to be taken to a page that gives a better description or details on that supply.

*acrylic paints come in different varieties.

  • The craft paints are just fine for class. They are the least expensive. They are already diluted with water.

  • Store grade paints. These are great. They are cost effective and easy to mix with water. I use these.

  • High priced acrylics in metal tubes. These are very concentrated pigments. I would suggest these for a seasoned artist. They are more difficult to smoothly dilute.
